Meals on Wheels

Three course meals are home delivered to eligible residents Monday-Friday in the townships of Bacchus Marsh and Ballan. Frozen meals are delivered to the outlying areas on a weekly basis. Special diets such as diabetic, low fat, low cholesterol and high fibre are available on request.
Community Meals Program

Tuesday in Dunnstown 11.30 am - 2.00 pm
Wednesday in Ballan 11 am - 2 pm
Thursday in Bacchus Marsh 12 pm - 2.00 pm

This service involves a hot meal prepared by Council staff and shared by a small group of people (approximately 10) with similar interests. The program aim is to:

# Reduce social isolation
# Provide respite for primary carers
# Provide companionship to clients

A hot or ready-to-heat subsidised midday meal is delivered at low cost to those who would otherwise be nutritionally at risk, including the frail aged and people with disabilities. Special diets including those for people with diabetes can be provided.

Availibility: Mon to Fri. Frozen meals are delivered to outlying areas and to residents who require weekend meals. An assessment to determine eligibility & needs is required & is undertaken by the Home Care Assessment Officer.
